Built in 2010, this turnkey 6,345 MW landfill power plant project included design, engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning. Fueled by methane gasses from an adjacent landfill, the plant is the first of its kind in Latin America.

8.1MW bio-fuel power plant using methane gas from a landfill as fuel. The project included the 13.8kV grid connection and auxiliary equipment for drying and cleaning the gas. The 8.1MW is provided by three J620 Jenbacher engines. The project includes utilities for drying and cleaning the landfill gas. Semco facilitated and arranged funding for the project via a local bank.
