West Elara at Hanøytangen

The enormous CJ70 X150 drilling rig is right now undergoing SPS incl. inspection of all 3 spudcans; an operation that is only possible when the rig is dry-docked.

Our dry dock at Hanøytangen is one of the largest in Europe. We have modified and reinforced the rock bottom so that we are now able to dry dock both Gusto MSC CJ70 X150 driilling rigs and mobile offshore drilling units (MODU)

Dry docking of GustoMSC CJ70-X150 jack-ups

The preparation of our dry dock for the drilling heavyweights

At Hanøytangen near Bergen in Norway, we own one of Europe’s largest dry dock facilities. Numerous semisubmersible drilling rigs have been dry-docked here throughout the years. However, docking of jack-ups has always been a problem due to the rocky seabed north of Stavanger.

We have now solved that problem and are ready to dry-dock ‘GustoMSC CJ70-X150 – ultra-harsh environment drilling jack-ups’.

Maersk Inspirer at Hanøytangen, Bergen

Watch this amazing video of Maersk Inspirer as it enters our dry dock at Hanøytangen, Norway!

Maersk Inspirer was the second CJ70-X150 rig to visit our dry dock. Last year, we reinforced the rock bottom of our dry dock with easy dry-docking of this exact type of jack-ups in mind.
